December change log

Hi, all! It’s Anne here. This is a log of all of the larger updates I made to The Homeschooler’s Chat Discord Server during December of 2023. If you already saw all of our updates in the News channel within our Discord Server, you’re most likely already up to speed. Keep in mind, some minor things (like channel description changes) may not be in this list. Thanks for being a part of The Homeschooler’s Chat! I can’t wait to see what 2024 has in store for our group. 💗

Command Changes

• New /ranks command shows a list of our XP ranks
• New /hydrate command sends a fun pop-up reminding users to hydrate
• /hangout command can be used anywhere, to start a VC hangout (view full info)
• /study command can be used in ⁠study-buddies to start a study session (view full info)

Channel updates

• Questions of the day can be found in #⁠qotd! Enjoy fun conversations there daily.
• Discuss your homeschooling experience and ask questions about homeschooling in ⁠homeschooling.
• Updated #⁠advice‘s guidelines to better explain what “venting” is, and why we ask that posts stay constructive.
• New layout! Our channels are now organized by “community”, “hobbies”, “interests”, and “education” categories.
