Information about seasonal art challenges in HSRChat’s Discord Server
What are art challenges?
Every season there’s a new art challenge prompt for users to create with in our Discord server! Everyone is welcome to take part in these fun challenges. The winner gets bragging rights and a fun decoration for their profile in our Discord server for homeschoolers!
When are art challenges?
Art challenges begin on the 1st day of January, April, July, and October when Anne, our founder, delivers a fresh art prompt to all of our members with the Art Crowd role, which you can grab in the Channels & Roles tab at the top of the channel list in our Discord server!
There are 25 days to complete the challenge! Participants have from the 1st to the 24th of the month to create a piece to submit for the art challenge. Then, voting begins on the 25th!
How do I join art challenges?
Start by heading to the “Channels & Roles” tab at the top of the channel list in The Homeschooler’s Chat Discord server. From there you can select the Art Crowd role. You’ll receive a notification when an art challenge begins. You’ll also get a reminder message 10 days before submissions are due.
All entries must be submitted by the 25th of the month, when voting begins. You can submit a piece at any time before the 25th of the month by posting it in our homeschooling Discord server’s art challenge channel.
Check out the “Events” tab at the top of the channel list in The Homeschooler’s Chat Discord server to subscribe to automatic notification about 24 hours before submissions are due!
Who wins?
On the 25th of an art challenge month, voters select a winner based on which piece they enjoy the most or which piece best represents the prompt in their opinion.
The creator of the piece that receives the most votes is declared that season’s Art Challenge Champion!
The Art Challenge Champion is awarded a fun decorative “role” in The Homeschooler’s Chat Discord server which includes a unique emoji to display next to their username until the next art challenge voting period begins. Plus, bragging rights!
