What are study sessions?
Our Discord server has weekly study sessions for all to join in! Whether you’re working on your educational assignments or enjoying a personal project, Study and Productivity Sessions are a great way to stay on track and motivated. These events are hosted by members of The Homeschooler’s Chat community, which makes them a fantastic way to make connections in HSRC.
When are study sessions?
The Study and Productivity Group gathers weekly on Wednesday (or Thursday, depending on time zone) at 11:00am EST/4:00pm GMT. These sessions repeat each week from September through May, followed by a break for the summer.
How do I join study sessions?
Step 1: Obtain the relevant role
Start by heading to the “Channels & Roles” tab at the top of the channel list in The Homeschooler’s Chat Discord server. From there, you can select the Study & Productiity Group role. This role provides notifications, but is not mandatory.
Step 2: Subscribe to Study Sessions
You can also subscribe to the Study & Productivity Session event in the Events tab at the top of the channel list in in The Homeschooler’s Chat Discord server. This will send you a reminder when the event begins.
Step 3: Join the live event at any time
Hop into the Study Zone or Pomodoro Study voice channel at the time of the session. Our users usually keep their microphones muted during study sessions. Some choose to share their computer screens with the group as the work, to help them stay focused.
Stick around for as long as you like! You can pop in or out at any time.
