June Recap!
June was a busy time in The Homeschooler’s Chat’s Discord server and on our website! Updates were made, events were attended, and good vibes were enjoyed. Let’s dive right into this recap!

- OLD Rules 1 (no NSFW content) and 2 (no swearing) were combined into the new Rule 1: Keep All Content SFW & Clean.
- OLD Rule 9 (Don’t Share Personal Identifying Information) became Rule 2: Keep Yourself & Your Identity Safe. This rule now includes not ASKING for personal info and not sharing risky images (e.g. images with revealing clothing).
- NEW Rule 9: Don’t Join As An Adult (19+) To Socialize. Includes information for our amazing alumni, who we always want to feel welcome and included. We ❤ you, alumni peeps.
- Rule 10: Don’t Advertise, Spam, or be Disruptive wording update includes not clogging chat.
- Rule 4: Use Spoilers When Requested wording update includes spoiling needle-related content.
Other wording changes were made, but the heart of our rules remains the same and no other major changes were made. Please review rules nevertheless, so you’re up-to-date.
July’s Art Prompt: Black & White Photography
What to submit
For this month’s art challenge we’ll be diving into black and white photography. To take part in this event you’ll want to simply shoot a photo of any subject and submit it as a black and white image. Of course, you can take the photo in color and make it black and white afterward. When shooting, feel free to focus on composition and edit your photo as needed for contrast and clarity.

- A B&W photo of a landscape
- A B&W photo of wild animals
- A B&W photo of a still object

Submit your art by July 25th, 2024
To submit an art piece, you can either post your piece in the #monthly-art-challenge channel within out Discord server or DM it to @hsrc on Discord before July 25th, 2024!
