Server Updates
Quick changes
- Replaced the website guide channel by bringing back #💚|about-us
- #💥|spam was reset. No more lag!
Rules Revision
The wording of our rules was updated to guarantee clarity, covering topics our frequent users are familiar with, but new users often ask about. The spirit of our rules remains the same.
DM policy clarification
- Even users with “DMs open” in their bio/intro should be asked before messaging. This allows staff to easily take action in all weird DM cases.
- Using DMs to solicit rule violations is not okay. For example, “can I DM anyone an invite to my server?”
Defining our server culture
- Social leeching (e.g., using members as a therapist) is not tolerated
- Bad actors should not be encouraged or argued with
- Personal difficulties between members should stay out of HSRC
- Moderation should be left to staff (explaining rules is appreciated)
Maintaining a comfortable space
- Users should not avoid AutoMod
- Messages should not be circulated outside of HSRC without OP’s consent
Unique Activity Ping Roles
New roles were added, allowing users to opt into pings based on the activities or games that they are most interested in getting involved with. These pings may be used during game nights or unique events featuring just these games or activities.
- Among Us role
- Gartic Phone role
- Magma role
- JackBox role
Transcribe voice chat yourself
Any user with Bronze rank or higher can now invite the bot which automatically transcribes speech into text to the following voice channels:
- 🎈|General Lounge
- 🎮|Game Together
- 📖|Study & Talk
Transcripts will appear in the #✍|transcript channel. This channel will be cleared regularly. You can ping Anne anytime to request for your transcript to be removed sooner.
